May 08 New blog...I recently navigated to a blog I had never seen before. Very informative. It looks like he makes money blogging. He is giving away a free USB pen, so go over and take a look.
October 15 I'm Back...Wow, I can receive comments again! Yeahhhhh.
 See, all I needed was a little patience...not my strong suit.The weekend here was amazing...weatherwise. In the mid 70's and sunny all weekend. I worked a halfday on Saturday, the museum I work for needed extra help in the gift shop due to a music festival on our grounds the whole weekend. We had a lot of traffic, which is a good thing, since we are only a year old (the museum that is).
My bathroom is almost complete, I just need to paint the molding and the ceiling. Hopefully this weekend. I will post photos as soon as I complete everything. The tile work is very good, the walls not as good, but are okay.
Last week I went on an interview for a new job...it went very well. It would be a state job, working for our general assembly. I like my job at the museum well enough, but things are very precarious...financially and also a little chaotic. I think it might be time to leave. I have been here about two and a half years. Working for the general assembly sounds interesting. This arm of the assembly drafts its legislation and handles legal and general research. The only problem is the salary was considerbly less than I make now. I will not take a cut in pay, so we shall see if they want me bad enough.
Lastly, my mom and nephew will be coming for a visit in about 10 days. They will be here for a long weekend, the 25th thru the 30th of October I think. I will need to start thinking of fun things to do with them. It will be the second time my nephew has visited...the first time was only for an afternoon, so he didn't see much of our fair city. March 23 Mac or PC???I have recently started researching and looking for a new home computer. Being mindful that it is a jungle out there in hi-tech land.
I am very familiar with the PC. It has been my work computer type for many years. I have had some experience with the Mac, but very, very limited many years ago. I have been leaning towards a DELL computer, but started think about a Mac after a co-worker mentioned her husband has one and loves it.
I stopped at a Mac store today at lunch just to see what the newer Macs look like. I was very impressed. It looks more compatable with what I want, but it's several hundred dollars more than it's step-sister the afore mentioned DELL.
 The Mac seems to have none of the virus problems of the PC, that in and of itself should be reason enough to switch, but the extra $400 is a little prohibitive at this time.
 I would like to get a laptop to double as a portable DVD player when traveling. The Mac laptop is considerably more then its PC counterpart. I have a feeling I will end up with the DELL even though I would like to buy the Mac. The Mac I looked at was amazing...the computer was built into the monitor and everything was wireless, the mouse, keyboard and of course...the internet access. It was very sleek. My computer search continues...
